For the second year in a row, we are happy to offer coffee from Diego Berrocal's mill : El Palmichal. Diego Berrocal and his son, Diego Jr. are known first and foremost for their green foliage production. Their Plantex farm is located in the foothills of the Poas Volcano in Costa Rica’s Central Valley.

But they also grow coffee and offer wet-mill and drying to neighbouring farmers. For over 4 generations the Berrocals have been perfecting their wetmilling process over time. Through their hard work and dedication, Plantex has become an important regional actor in Costa Rica’s coffee industry.

This lot, called Santa Cruz, comes from the best cherries of 14 farmers. It is a honey process mixing catuai and caturra varietals. We selected it as it shows a great continuity with last' year coffee.

We prefer to drink this coffee as an espresso where notes of black currant and cacao beans pop in the cup.

F.O.B. paid 2.95$ US (281% over market price).
