FACUNDO MALDONADO
Tasting notes : Candied Orange - Raisins
Facundo is one of the few farmers still growing “old” varietals in Honduras. Bourbon and Catuai have been devastated during the Roya epidemic and most farmers replanted with rust resistant varieties. Yet, Facundo’s coffee shows the niceness of those classic varietals with candied orange and raisins notes.
A farmer for 40 years, Facundo only recently got out of the old way of coffee farming : selling cherries at the nearby town for what ever price it was that day. We’re glad to be amongst the firsts to have Facundo’s coffee as is. It is in its genuine and unique form, not blended with others and bursting with character.
We taste notes of candied orange and raisins.
