Mathieu Carrier-Structure Coffee Roasters

 

MATHIEU CARRIER:

One of our Green Buyers, Retail Operations and Production Planning Manager. Originally from La Sarre in Abitibi, he decided to move to Quebec City, and in 2011, to Vancouver where he worked for 3 years as General Manager for 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters (Kitsilano location), where his level of execution in hospitality and product quality brought him recognition by the industry and food critics alike. When his 8 years of professional coffee experience is not at work, Mathieu volunteers as Director of Operations at the ECCM, cooks BBQ and samples great wine and whiskey.

JÉRÔME GRENIER-DESBIENS:

 

Our Green Buyer, Roaster, Q.C., local Sales and R&D Manager. With a background in chemistry and sociology, coffee was a hobby before becoming his career. Within 5 years of professional coffee experience, he became an active competitor on a national level, obtained his Q-Arabica Grader license, was selected as a fellow of the Re:CO symposium in Gothenburg and initiated the same year the East Coast Coffee Madness, the biggest specialty coffee event in Eastern Canada. When he is not working, this reputed most knowledgeable professional in the province of Quebec acts as GM of the ECCM, enjoys time with his family and goes fly fishing.

MARCO DIECKMANN: 

 

Marco is our Marketing and Market Development Manager. Born in Berlin, Marco comes from a family of restaurateurs and hoteliers. He studied finance before joining Germany's biggest bank, the Deutsche Bank. However, he decided to follow his passion to become a circus performer. This brought him to Canada where he is now a member of the Russian Bar Trio and travels everywhere in the world with the Cirque du Soleil. After a visit to a coffee farm in Indonesia, he developed a profound interest in coffee. When he is not working, Marco enjoys time with his family, biking and visiting as many coffee shops as possible in all the countries he visits.
