Tasting notes: Hazelnut, Cherry
It’s our pleasure to offer you Walter Daniel's coffee for the thrid year in a row. His farm has been a family business for decades as he inherited the coffee life and Finca La Esperanza from his parents. In 2012, his entire coffee plantation was completely destroyed by the coffee leaf rust. Walter Daniel and his wife, Carolina have been slowly lifting themselves out of that crisis. From last year's crop, he renovated his wet mill and is now using a solar drier with mesh beds.
This year, we are seeing more and more results from our relationship. His production volume has increase by six, which is awesome! But on the other hand, part of his farm was washed away during hurricanes Eta and Iota. On our end, we're commited to renew our relationship for the years to come and to increase our buying volumes to follow Walter's growth.
Sometimes, it makes us feel wholesome to be in the coffee business.
