Originally from Guarizama, Olancho, Juan Breniel is a small coffee producer whose journey began in 2005, when he traveled to the United States to save money and fund his dream. Upon his return in 2008, he purchased his farm, Finca Las Lomitas, covering 3.48 hectares in Zacateras.

Inspired by his father and grandfather, he trained in farm management following the coffee leaf rust crisis and today produces some of the finest coffees in the region. As a member of the organization Elevar, he sells 60% of his production as microlots, securing better prices than local intermediaries.

In 2025, he plans to build a house on the farm and expand his cultivated area, while preserving part of the land as a natural reserve. For Juan, coffee is above all a family legacy and a source of hope for future generations.
